LAND THE OFFER &
PASS THE ACADEMY.
The federal hiring process is not one application. It is a 6-phase pipeline that begins with picking the right job and hiring authority, followed by USAJOBS, KSA screening, and structured panel interviews—then the long wait for your CJO.
Next comes medical screening, background investigations, reference checks, polygraphs, and physical testing before you finally earn your FJO—only to arrive at FLETC and realize you’re just at the beginning.
Most qualified candidates lose at a phase nobody warned them about.
Fed LE Prep is a field-tested strategic blueprint and publication built to break down every phase of the federal funnel, help you bypass hidden friction points, and give you the exact roadmap to land your dream job in federal law enforcement.
FEDERAL LE HIRING ISN’T A JOB SEARCH. IT’S A PIPELINE.
-
PHASE 1: ROLE & HIRING AUTHORITY SELECTION
Before a single application, you decide which series (1811, 1801, 0083, 1896, 0025) and which hiring authority fits your situation. Competitive service, Direct Hire, VRA, Schedule A, or Pathways. Choosing wrong means competing in the largest, slowest pool available.
-
PHASE 2: USAJOBS & RESUME OPTIMIZATION
Federal resumes are scored against the vacancy announcement. Learn how to align your experience to mirror KSAs and specialized experience language verbatim—including hours, dates, and supervisor detail—so HR rates you Best Qualified instead of screening you out.
-
PHASE 3: STRATEGIC OUTREACH & NETWORKING
Applying the same prospecting strategies, outreach discipline, and regional networking tactics used in enterprise sales to federal hiring.
-
PHASE 4: STRUCTURED PANEL INTERVIEWS
Federal panels score responses on fixed dimensions with pre-written questions and no follow-ups. Master how to structure STAR responses for judgment, integrity, adaptability, and leadership to score inside the top tier of the panel rubric.
-
PHASE 5: CONDITIONAL OFFER AND PHYSICAL TEST
The CJO is the start of the longest phase: the SF-86, background investigation, polygraph, medical, drug test, and adjudication. Clean disclosure, documentation, and timeline management are what convert a conditional offer into a final one.
Dialing in your conditioning specifically for the 5-component Physical Efficiency Battery—mastering dead-stop bench pressing, agility pacing, and 1.5-mile track strategy to clear standards with a high percentile.
-
PHASE 6: FLETC & BEYOND
Executing final logistics, mental preparation, and physical prep leading up to your Final Job Offer (FJO), walking onto campus at Glynco academy-ready, graduation, and stepping into field training.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
I walked the pipeline—now I write the blueprint.
In late 2024, I was 260 pounds, running a 14-minute mile, and directionless after a layoff. One year later, I was 180 pounds, crushing the FLETC Physical Efficiency Battery (PEB), and walking onto campus at FLETC Glynco for the U.S. Forest Service.
More importantly, I went from having zero federal connections to earning job offers from multiple regions by treating federal hiring like an enterprise Business Development pipeline.
Today, I lead strategic accounts and customer success at a fast-growing tech startup while staying deeply involved in public lands stewardship. I built Fed LE Prep to equip candidates with the exact, field-tested strategy needed to navigate USAJOBS, earn leadership-level visibility, and show up to the academy ready to win.
